Bridge Church Family – Thank you for serving the CASITA DEL SOL COMMUNITY last Saturday…it was so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again this Saturday!

Community Updates

STAYING AT THE CASITAS DEL SOL COMMUNITY CLUBHOUSE AT LEAST THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR

At this point, I feel a peace about staying where we are ministering to the Casitas Del Sol Community through end of the year at the very least. That means we will need a home owner to sign the rental agreement for the Clubhouse and be present from 8 AM – 12:30 P.M on Sundays. I know this is a big commandment and want to give Genie and Alvin Tanksley some breaks along the way. They have been amazing these past three months and I do not want to burn them out, especially as we stay longer potentially. If you can take some shifts please let me know as the new rental agreements for September, October, November and December need to be signed soon.

ROSIE WATSON

It was great to see Rosie Waston Sunday at Church. Rosie is needing help with putting her brand new walker together. If you’d like to help Rosie please call her at 760 – 755 – 0430

EDNA WILKINS

Edna is now with the Lord as she wanted to be. Thank you for praying for her and the family during her time of transition. I really enjoyed my time with her and look forward to chatting with her again in her new glorified body!

Upcoming Opportunities & Special Events

• THE BRIDGE CHURCH GRAND OPENING LAUNCH, INVITING THE COMMUNITY AND CELEBRATING OUR NEW CHURCH PARTY PLANNING COMMITTEE

As you know we are a church re-plant preparing for our big Grand Opening Easter, March 28th, 2027. In addition to having a celebrative church service that day, we will need a giant party right after the service with food trucks (I vote for a taco truck), pony rides, easter egg hunt, bounce house, carnival games and whatever else Michelle and the social committee come up with. If you like to plan big parties and want to be apart of the team to plan our big Grand Opening party celebrating the Grand Opening of our brand new Church and the VISION God gave us: “to be a safe place to experience the Kingdom of God and become the person I AM created to be”; then let Michelle Barnett know. Mark your calendars now….this will be a big deal for sure as we officially re-launch the our Church into the community inviting people to “experience the Kingdom of God / Heaven” here on earth!

NEW FACEBOOK PAGE - We have started a new Facebook page for the Bridge Church. It is called: THE BRIDGE CHURCH SAN MARCOS. Please follow it and invite your friends, co workers and sphere of influence to follow the page too. If you are taking pictures on Sunday, please send them to Michelle Barnett through Facebook or text them to her at 612 - 554 - 3590 so she can add more pictures to the site as we grow and expand our reach. An Instagram page is also in the works.

NEW WEBSITE AND MOBILE APP COMING LATER THIS FALL - The website will be receiving a complete make over soon as we get ready to Re-plant / Re-launch / Re-start the Bridge Church. In addition, a new Bridge mobile app for sermons, activities, prayer request, news items, devotions among other things is expected to be ready late FALL before the end of the year.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND, SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 6 - We are going to have another outdoor service on top of Double Peak Mountain in San Marcos. We are renting the outdoor rock amphitheater and the gazebo next to it for a BBQ after service. So no chairs are needed at this venue as the seats are built into the hill. Feel free to bring something soft to sit on like a blanket.

THE BRIDGE BOOK READING CLUB STARTING THIS FALL/ WINTER - From time to time I will recommend a book that coincides with topics we are discussing on Sunday mornings. And "Victory Over the Darkness" by Niel T Anderson is the perfect book to go along with the Covenant Series. In this series, we are learning about who we really are in Christ - clothed in the Robe of Righteousness. This book will compliment the theme very well. I believe it is one of the most beneficial books a Christian can ever read outside the Bible. If your interested in receiving a copy, please let me know on your communication card this Sunday. I need to know how many copies to order for each family. Anybody older than twelve can read this book. If you like reading life changing material that will change how you see yourself in Christ forever - this is the book to read....more info to follow.
